The exhibit synopsis: Side by Side, together as one.
Consider portraying what is special about your area. Quilts formed a QSM2015 club display for the convention center (where the main symposium exhibition was held).
Each club was issued a colour for their theme. Im not quite sure whether this was random or they used their club colours and each club presented three small quilts.
Rangitikei Quilters - Marton - Turquoise their theme colour. Challenge award went to Joyce Smith.
Cotton on Qulters - Whanganui - Green their theme colour. Challenge award went to Janice Dowdeswell.
Town & Country Quilters - Levin - Yellow their theme colour
Rose City Quilters - Palmerston North - Red theme colour.
Close up of the Dianne Southey's entry - for readers outside of New Zealand, this quilt gives you an idea of where (how close) all the other organising clubs are to Palmerston North. Very cool.
Foxy Quilters - Foxton - Purple their theme colour.
In the Gallery next door to the convention center was another quilt exhibtion called Living Colours.

The flower looks a lot reder in this photograph but it is the detail I wanted you to see.
What a visual feast we (quilters attending the symposium) have had over the last week.
